AMY SEKHAR

Dr. Amy Sekhar is a certified Co-Active and ADHD coach, facilitator, and public speaker. Her career reflects a deep commitment to equity and empowerment. Before transitioning to coaching and consultancy, she dedicated a decade as tenured faculty in higher education, passionately advocating for the creation of inclusive learning spaces that challenged students to broaden their perspectives. Dr. Sekhar shifted her focus to systems change advocacy, initially concentrating on disability rights and community education. She then contributed to a regional Equity Assistance Center, developing and delivering professional learning experiences for K-12 public school stakeholders and facilitating complex conversations with diverse groups, ranging from federal civil rights attorneys and district superintendents to classroom educators.

As a disabled individual, Dr. Sekhar's work is profoundly shaped by her lived experience with physical disabilities and neurodiversity, as well as her unwavering dedication to disability justice. Her coaching practice is fueled by a belief in each person's capacity to create a life aligned with their values. She is currently a coach instructor with the International ADHD Coach Training Center (iACTcenter).

Dr. Sekhar is a seasoned public speaker and facilitator, skilled at raising awareness and inspiring change on topics such as empowerment, disability justice, and social transformation. She excels at creating inclusive and productive environments for dialogue and collaboration, guiding meaningful discussions and fostering connection.
